his wide ranging and innovative course will give you the opportunity to open the door to the creative world of photography.
You will discover photography via a series of assignments specifically written to broaden your outlook. The list of potential subjects is almost endless, as are the learning prospects on this course.

Students will discover photography via a series of assignments specifically written to broaden their outlook. The list of potential subjects is almost endless, as are the learning prospects on this course.

Students explore the full range of darkroom and digital techniques, giving a thorough understanding of the possibilities of their uses. Alongside technical understanding, research and experimentation is greatly encouraged. Students will also explore the work of photographers through educational visits and visiting photographers. The expansion of student’s imagination
and skills through exciting location and studio based workshops is also a major part of this dynamic course.

Duration: Two years
Entry requirements: A minimum of four GCSEs A*-C including maths and English minimum D plus a portfolio of work.
Final grades from the BTEC will give the following maximum UCAS point score of:168
Additional Study
You can also study an A-Level in Graphics, English Language or Psychology alongside this course (you will need 5 GCSEs A*-B and maths and English minimum C to do this)
