f you are excited by computer animation, games design, or film making then this is certainly the right course for you. We offer students the opportunity to explore new media techniques and experiment with interactive design in a custom built environment with extensive, state of the art technologies.

We offer students the opportunity to explore new media techniques and experiment with interactive design, illustration, comic book art and concept art in a custom built environment with extensive state of the art technologies. Students develop their drawing and design skills to create 2D and 3D computer, as well as, traditional animation techniques. They create their own
sets, develop their own characters and storyboards and even learn how to design and implement their games concepts. The course also offers an enhancement in radio production.

All this is backed by a sound grounding in direction, producing, editing, camera wok, script writing, lighting and sound, utilising a wide range of TV and video equipment. Students also benefit from being taught by industry professionals, being entered into the Royal Television Society Awards (where we have previously won ‘Best Animation’) and producing real work for real
clients on this exciting, well equipped, successful grade one course.

Duration: Two years
Entry requirements: A minimum of four GCSEs A*-C including maths and English minimum D plus a portfolio of work.
Final grades from the BTEC will give the following maximum UCAS point score of:168
Additional Study
You can also study an A-Level in Graphics, English Language or Psychology alongside this course (you will need 5 GCSEs A*-B and maths and English minimum C to do this)
